What's a Jam Session?

It's not your church men's retreat.

Jam Sessions are where men who carry the weight of pulpits, stages, businesses, families, and more come to get real, get quiet, and get their soul back in tune.

No stages. No spotlight. No ego.

Just stripped-down space to face the noise in your head and the ache in your chest. To pick up what matters and drop what doesn't.

We don’t do hype.

We build fires, break bread, and get honest. We worship without polish, talk like brothers, and leave the masks at the door.

Bring your doubt. Bring your burnout. Bring the version of you that's been shoved to the background.

This is the band you didn’t know you needed.
And yeah—we're gonna jam. Bring your instruments.

What you can expect...

Amazing Food

Meals are sacred here. We break bread like it matters - because it does.

Meals aren't just fuel, they're fellowship. You'll sit down to plates that remind you what it means to be cared for. Think cast iron breakfasts, smoked meats, roasted vegetables. Real butter. Real bread. Real coffee.

Restoration

Jam Session are held at Quaker Haven Camp in Syracuse, IN.

Tucked between trees and lakefront, you'll be on sacred ground where generations have come to wrestle, rest, and hear from God.

Soundcheck Session

Throughout the Jam Session Retreat, you'll be doing soundchecks with your band (cohort).

It'll be much like what you experience online - only elevated for the in person meetup.

The Soundbooth

This is where the volume drops and the truth comes up.

It’s not therapy. It’s not a sermon. It’s where you sit with what’s been sitting inside you—until it finally speaks.
Whether you're cracking open a journal or cracking open your chest, the Sound Booth is space for honest reflection, guided prompts, and gut-level clarity.
You don’t have to fix it. But you do have to face it.

The Smash House

(optional)

Some stuff doesn’t need to be talked through—it needs to be shattered.

When the moment calls for it, we’ve got a space to let it rip.
Break a plate. Smash a mug. Let go of the thing you’ve white-knuckled for too long.
Then walk out lighter.
This is optional—but some men will know: it’s time.

Worship + Reflection

No stage. No spotlight. Just presence.

These are stripped-down, soul-first sessions—acoustic worship around a fire or under the rafters.

No hype. No performance. Just space to remember who you are and who God still is.

Whether you sing, sit in silence, or write something in your Songbook—this is where the spirit does its best work.

Solo Tracks

Every man needs a one-on-one moment to say what can’t be said in the group.

Solo Tracks are private sessions with Pat—part mentoring, part coaching, part soul excavation.
This isn’t counseling. This is sitting down with someone who knows the weight of leadership, faith, and being the one everyone else leans on.

You bring what’s heavy.
You say it straight.
And together, you work the muscle of clarity, calling, and courage.

Hookbook

90 Minutes.

Everyday.

We protect this time for you to write. No sessions. No talking. No expectations. Just your pen. Your hookbook, and a stretch of sacred silence.

Stop the Metaphor

You bring your gear—guitars, keys, percussion, whatever you’ve got.
We plug in, sit in a circle, and just play. No setlist. No performance. No pressure. Just a group of men rediscovering the sound they were made to carry.

This is what it’s all been building toward:
After all the heart work, after the Soundchecks, the Solo Tracks, the Songbook pages—you get to let it out, not just talk it out.

You’ll hear worship songs, half-finished originals, ambient grooves, old favorites.
It’s not about who’s good. It’s about who’s present.

This is communion.
This is brotherhood.
This is the sound of men returning to themselves.
